The Most Complex Junction in Ireland… in Miniature

Over the past year, Ireland in miniature has continued to grow.

Many of you will remember the two layouts previously displayed at Sligo Folk Park. That’s where it began.

Since then, a third layout has been built double the size of the original two combined.

This new section will introduce something very special.

For the first time, it will operate using a digital control system. This will allow us to create different running scenarios, control routes more precisely, and manage how trains move across the layout in a much more advanced way.

At the center of it all will be a seven-layer inter-junction the most complex in Ireland… in miniature, of course.

Trains will cross over and under each other, merge, separate, and change direction, all within one carefully designed structure. It has been built to create constant movement while keeping everything under control.

The layout is currently being completed, and there are many more features within this section that we’re excited to share.

More updates soon.

The work continues and Ireland in miniature keeps growing.

Follow the journey.
